Base pay range $123,000.00/yr - $131,000.00/yr

Safety Specialist – $123,000.00 to $131,000.00 – Los Angeles, CA

Do you have a decade of hands‑on construction safety management experience? Are you confident leading safety audits, investigations, and training across large‑scale projects?

The Role We're looking for an experienced Safety Specialist to support our construction projects in Los Angeles, CA. This is a full‑time, on‑site position where you'll play a key role in promoting safe work environments and ensuring compliance across all project phases.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct safety audits on construction sites and recommend corrective actions

Investigate on‑site accidents and identify root causes

Monitor safety policies, procedures, and standards across multiple projects

Test for environmental risks such as noise, gas, and ventilation levels

Deliver safety training for project managers and field teams

Collect and analyze injury and safety data; report findings to contractors and leadership

Participate in pre‑bid and post‑award meetings as part of the OCIP team

Review contractors' Injury Illness and Prevention Programs (IIPPs)

Supervise and mentor lower‑level personnel

The Person To be successful in this role, you must meet the following minimum requirements:

10 years of full‑time, professional construction safety management experience

Education qualifications (one of the following):

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial/Environmental Engineering, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field

Professional Safety Certification from a recognized institution

Two years of college plus a Safety Certification and 2 additional years of experience

Preferred: Completion of OSHA 500 and 40‑hour HAZPOWER courses

Preferred certifications:

BCSP Certification

Licensed Safety Professional (NASP)

Certified Safety Manager (NASP)
