Job Purpose Develops comprehensive reports and analyzes data to identify patterns and trends. Assists in creating materials that aid in illustrating analytical/data findings. Assists with sophisticated data interpretation, compilation, and verification to guide departmental efforts.

Logistics Full‑time (40 hours/week, Monday‑Friday). This role is in a typical office environment and is on‑site at 4101 Percival Road, Columbia, SC 29229. Some out‑of‑town travel may be required.

Responsibilities

Design, code, maintain, and execute simple to complex database programs for the extraction and presentation of data for standard and ad‑hoc reporting. Utilize statistical programming tools to identify patterns and trends in data. Assist in sampling design, sample selection, and relevant projections. Perform statistical validations of sampling and related projections. Assist with the preparation of charts, illustrations, other graphics, and narrative reports to explain findings.

Assist with development of complex statistical analysis, including standard reporting, AD HOC reporting, and data mining tools. Assist with sophisticated data interpretation, compilation, and verification to guide departmental efforts.

Provide assistance in development of project plans and system life‑cycle maintenance, development of change requests and test plans impacting existing databases, and research of new sources for data.

Verify data in existing databases and assist in the collection of data and management of existing databases. Create supporting documentation outlining procedures within scope of responsibility.

Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in a job‑related field.

2 years of statistical programming or statistical interpretation experience.

Required skills and abilities:

Good organizational, customer service, and analytical skills.

Ability to use complex mathematical calculations.

Demonstrated knowledge of mathematical or statistical concepts.

Relevant computer programming skills.

Microsoft Office proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field.

2 years of experience with statistical practices.

2 years of relational database experience (may be concurrent).

Good oral and written communication skills.

Computer systems support knowledge.

Experience with SAS, SQL, Python, Excel, and other Microsoft products.

Experience with ACA HHS‑HCC Risk Adjustment Modeling Software.

Experience analyzing healthcare data.
