Materials and Specifications Engineer

Join a team driving innovation in concrete technology and infrastructure. Were looking for a technically skilled Materials and Specifications Engineer to support our product approval process, technical documentation, and specification efforts for a portfolio of admixtures, mechanical couplers, and engineered construction materials.
This role will interface with municipalities, DOTs, engineers, and internal teams to drive product acceptance, maintain compliance with industry standards, and help position our solutions in key public infrastructure markets.
What Youll Do: Develop & manage technical specifications and product submittals for concrete admixtures, couplers, and materials. Secure approvals from DOTs, municipalities, and public agencies by aligning with ASTM, AASHTO, ACI, and local standards. Act as the technical liaison with public works agencies, engineers, and field teams. Coordinate lab testing, third-party certifications, and compliance documentation. Support the sales team with specification-driven technical insights and presentations. Participate in pre-bid meetings, spec reviews, and product evaluation processes. Work cross-functionally with engineering, production, QA/QC, and R&D.
What You Bring: Degree in Civil Engineering, Materials Science, or related field (P.E. a plus). 4+ years experience in construction materials, admixtures, or infrastructure product approval. Deep familiarity with DOT/Municipal submittals, ASTM standards, and ACI specs. Solid understanding of concrete technology, chemical admixtures, or mechanical connectors. Excellent technical writing and presentation skills. Strong collaboration mindset
