Job Summary:

The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for preparing, processing, and maintaining accurate records of all shipments. This role involves coordinating with freight carriers, managing documentation, troubleshooting shipping issues in ERP systems, and ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently while supporting overall shift operations.

Key Responsibilities: Prepare and maintain records of goods shipped, including manifests and bills of lading. Coordinate and communicate with freight carriers to schedule trailer switches and pickups. Troubleshoot freight and shipment issues within the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. Schedule freight shipments using online carrier portals. Collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure smooth logistics operations. Process internal and external returns in accordance with company procedures. Handle sub-contract shipments accurately and efficiently. Support shift supervisors with daily shift management and logistics needs. Maintain compliance with shipping policies, safety regulations, and documentation standards. Perform additional duties as assigned. Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum of one year of experience in a related shipping or logistics role. Proficiency in operating scanners and shipment tracking tools. Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments under tight deadlines. Capable of working independently with minimal supervision. Basic understanding of ERP systems and freight scheduling tools. Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in a warehouse or manufacturing environment. Familiarity with logistics software or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle). Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Team-oriented mindset with flexibility to assist in other areas as needed.

Certifications:

Forklift or Material Handling Equipment certification preferred (if applicable).
