JOB DESCRIPTION

Material handlers are responsible for a variety of administrative/physical tasks involved in the storing, counting, and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment. Compiles and maintains records of quantity and type of material stocked and issued. Maintains distribution of product by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies, and staging finished product to meet production schedule requirements to the high-quality standard expected by the client.

6 month to permanent position Must be able to work overtime when needed especially on the last day of each month Available to work weekends when needed Willing to train the right candidate

Essential Functions: Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory in Oracle. Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on move orders and pick slips, delivers, and completes appropriate transaction in Oracle. Receives return material and supplies from production, verifies item number, lot number and quantity; places materials in stock and completes appropriate Oracle transactions. Prepares finished stock for shipment by identifying, picking, packing, crating, loading, and securing product by following operating procedures and work instructions. Maintains material-handling equipment such as scales by completing pre-use inspections. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Troubleshoot problems quickly and efficiently, seeking advice where necessary. Assist others to provide an organized and clean workplace including: all areas of the plant, workstations, equipment, walkways, and break rooms using 5S procedures. Participation in and implementation of continuous improvement projects. Safely and efficiently meeting all requirements assigned to you by following operating procedures and work instructions, in accordance with the company's ISO 9001:2015 procedures. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required. Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred. Possess strong organizational skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work well as a team. Ability to read and comprehend written instructions, as well as, comprehend verbal instructions and effectively communicate verbally. Computer familiarity, data entry skills. Ability to self-start yet take orders as directed. Consistent and punctual attendance required. Must be available to work assigned shifts and required overtime

Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and work that requires repetitive motion.
