Job Description Job Title: GI/Endo Tech Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Endoscopy Procedural Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours (07:00 - 17:30) Experience: 1 year required License: NH Medical Technologist License or Active LNA Certifications: BLS
Must-Have: - 1 year of experience required. - Unit accepts first-time travelers. - Float required to the ambulatory surgery center if needed. - No weekends. - Days off per week will vary and are not set. - Required certifications include BLS and NH Medical Technologist License or Active LNA. - Travelers are not considered if they have ever been a former employee at any facility associated with a specific health system, regardless of the length of separation or duration of time worked.
Description: The position requires assisting with various procedures in a busy endoscopy setting. Duties include assisting with biopsies, dilations, bronchoscopy, and colonoscopy. Experience with high-level disinfection and infection control is essential. Knowledge of endoscopic ultrasound and electrosurgical units is important. The unit has 17 beds, with a focus on admitting and recovery. There are 4 procedure rooms, with 3 being fully functional and 1 designated for fluoroscopy. The role requires the ability to adapt to varying patient ratios and procedural needs. Specialty procedures include ERCP, EUS, and enteral stenting. Direct access to the operating room is available in case of emergencies. Participation in patient care, including labeling specimens and restocking supplies, is part of the role. This position emphasizes teamwork and collaboration with interdisciplinary staff.
