We are seeking a dependable and customer-focused Dock Attendant to join the team at The Seagate Yacht Club. This role serves as the first point of contact for members, guests, and visiting boaters, ensuring exceptional service, safety, and the smooth operation of marina activities. The Dock Attendant will also assist in maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of the marina, reflecting The Seagate's commitment to excellence.
This position is hands-on and physically active, requiring a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and the ability to adapt to a variety of tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
What You Do: Provide first-class customer service to all slip tenants, transient guests, and visitors Serve as the liaison between the marina and its boaters, always maintaining a courteous and professional demeanor Assist with docking and undocking vessels including line handling, fender placement, and guest assistance Perform opening and closing duties including dock walks and safety checks Maintain cleanliness of docks, walkways, restrooms, and common areas Observe safety protocols and report any hazards, damage, or maintenance needs to the Dockmaster Take pride in property upkeep, grounds maintenance, and a clean, welcoming facility for all guests Assist with general property maintenance and operational tasks as assigned. What You Bring to the Table:
Previous experience in a marina or similar preferred. High school diploma or equivalent education required. Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Proficiency in English, including speaking, reading, writing, and comprehension. Work tasks may occur indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures. Must be capable of bending, stooping, squatting, stretching, and performing manual tasks. Requires manual dexterity, grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, and occasional climbing. Ability to stand and maintain mobility for lengthy shifts. Double shifts may be required in the height of season. Capable of regularly lifting up to 50 lbs. and pushing/pulling carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs.
