Overview
Phlebotomy Lab Assistant
Join our collaborative healthcare team as a Phlebotomy Lab Assistant, where you'll play a vital role in specimen processing and lab operations to support patient care. This position requires precision, professionalism, and a strong understanding of lab protocols and systems including LIS and EPIC.
Schedule
Monday - Thursday 7:30am to 6pm
Pay/Salary
Hiring Range: $21.71 - $27.20 commensurate with experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Process, document, and prepare specimens for internal and external labs
- Ensure specimen integrity through proper handling and transport
- Communicate with clinical departments to clarify orders and resolve issues
- Respond to calls and emails with professionalism and compassion
- Maintain safety standards including PPE usage
Skills
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment
- Team-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent (required)
- Minimum of at least one year lab experience preferred
- Familiarity with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) and EPIC
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
Pay Range: $21.28 - $29.78

PTO and Personal Time accruals are pro-rated by FTE/hours worked. Non-benefits eligible employees will accrue Personal Time based on hours worked and State worked.
