Each of CenExel’s research sites specialize in Phase I to Phase IV clinical trials. Our Centers of Excellence comprise some of the most well respected and long‑standing research facilities in the country. Specialty areas of research include Psychiatry, Acute Post‑Op Pain, Asian Bridging, Dermatology, GI, and Neurology. Each site has in‑patient capability and focuses on quality people, teamwork, and highly experienced clinical research managers.
Schedule & Compensation
- Salary: $20.00 - $22.00/hr (depending on education, experience, and skillset)
- Shift: 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm (Monday – Friday) + rotating weekends
- First 2–3 weeks of training will involve an AM shift.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
- Maintain full knowledge of laboratory procedures and processes per protocol, laboratory manual, and shipping manual.
- Assist the laboratory manager with site preparation and study conduct.
- Create laboratory documents (e.g., harvest logs).
- Prepare collection tubes, vials, and study supplies for visits.
- Monitor laboratory sample storage temperature and address excursions.
- Maintain harvest logs, chain of custody, and laboratory sample manifests/inventory logs.
- Pack and label study materials for storage or return to sponsor upon study closeout.
- Obtain samples per protocol and document processes in source documents.
- Process samples according to protocol, ensuring centrifuge settings are appropriate.
- Perform regular inventory of supplies and order as needed.
- Store samples in upright position in appropriate shipping boxes in the freezer; separate primary and secondary samples.
- Ensure freezer/refrigerator temperature remains within protocol range and maintain logs.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Education, Experience, and Skills
- Must effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
- Minimum: High School graduate or GED equivalency.
- Phlebotomy experience or CPT certification highly preferred.
- Motivated to work consistently in a fast‑paced and rapidly changing environment.
Working Conditions
- Indoor, office and clinic environment.
- Essential physical requirements: sitting, typing, standing, walking.
- Light lifting of up to 20 pounds.
- Reporting to work at scheduled times is essential.
