Job Summary

The Administrative Assistant provides administrative support to the Department, such as preparing correspondence in final form, gathering data for statistical reports and monitoring departmental budgets. Performs secretarial functions, including screening calls and visitors, typing and filing. Duties require a thorough knowledge of Supervisor's areas of responsibility to serve as resource for department and conduct special projects.

Qualifications

High school graduate with at least one year of college or business school with training in secretarial procedures. Three to four years working experience required; familiarity with hospital or health care procedures and background in medical terminology preferred. Must have excellent secretarial skills as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills. Must be fluent in the English language.
