About This Role

Wegmans Food Markets is hiring entry‑level leaders to manage store operations and lead a customer service team. The base pay range is $21.00‑$22.50 per hour, and eligible employees can earn a bonus of up to $1,000.

Responsibilities

  • Independently manage store operations from daytime to nighttime, including opening and closing duties on a rotating schedule.
  • Partner with department management to prioritize and delegate tasks, ensuring efficient front‑end and checkout operations.
  • Manage the performance of a team of Customer Service employees, providing training, feedback, and development opportunities.
  • Provide outstanding customer service, acting as a champion of Wegmans values and standards.
  • Quickly respond to operational challenges and collaborate with store leadership to solve problems.
  • Participate in or lead special projects that enhance company culture and employee engagement.

Required Qualifications

  • Customer service experience, preferably in food service, grocery, or retail.
  • Proven ability to multi‑task and adapt to interruptions in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Computer skills.

  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new situations.
