Chiller Technician – Dallas, TX

Direct-hire opportunity with a leading contractor. Seeking an experienced Chiller Technician to support installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of centrifugal and screw chiller systems.

Note: CCS does not offer on-the-job training. Only apply if you meet the required experience.

Base pay range: $30.00/hr – $45.00/hr

About the Role

Key responsibilities include installation, commissioning, maintenance, and service of large‑scale commercial and industrial chiller systems. Candidates should pride themselves in their work, value safety, and seek long‑term stability with a reputable contractor.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation & Commissioning: Install new centrifugal chillers and associated components; perform full startup and commissioning.
• Maintenance & Repair: Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and corrective repairs on chiller systems.
• Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Diagnose and repair issues with compressors, controls, pumps, and other components using diagnostic tools and OEM software.
• System Knowledge: Apply advanced knowledge of water‑side/air‑side systems, building automation systems, and complex mechanical systems.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate service records, logs, reports, and repair documentation.
• Safety & Compliance: Adhere to OSHA, refrigerant handling protocols, and other safety regulations.
• Customer Service: Deliver accurate, timely service while maintaining strong client relationships.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Significant experience in commercial/industrial HVAC focusing on centrifugal and screw chillers.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, gauges, and precision measuring equipment.
• Strong diagnostic skills with OEM‑specific chiller software.
• Mechanical & electrical expertise, including pumps, motors, and compressors.
• Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Excellent problem‑solving and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Strong communication skills: verbal, written, and client‑facing.
• Must pass background check and drug screening.
