Data Quality Assurance Analyst

Our client, a legal services company, is looking for a Data Quality Assurance Analyst to join their team on a hybrid basis in Alpharetta, GA. This is a 12‑month W‑2 contract.

In this mid‑level role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of data sets used across our organization. You will collaborate with various teams, including data engineers, the Operations team, and product managers to identify data quality issues, design testing strategies, and implement processes to maintain high standards of data quality.

Responsibilities

  • Perform data validation and quality checks to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of data sets used in reporting, analytics, and operations.
  • Develop and execute automated and manual data testing processes to identify data inaccuracies and system defects.
  • Collaborate with data engineering teams to design and implement data quality frameworks, including data profiling, cleansing, and monitoring.
  • Work with cross‑functional teams to understand business requirements and proactively address potential data‑related challenges.
  • Create and maintain documentation related to data testing plans, anomalies, and resolutions.
  • Monitor and report on data quality issues and trends using tools and dashboards for visualization.
  • Investigate data integrity issues and assist in identifying root causes.
  • Provide recommendations for process improvements and best practices to enhance data quality across the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance policies and standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in data quality assurance, data analysis, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with querying relational databases.
  • Hands‑on experience with data testing tools (e.g., Talend Data Quality, Informatica Data Quality, or other similar tools).
  • Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and scripting languages such as Python.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve data issues effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across technical and non‑technical teams.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with big data platforms such as Hadoop or Spark.
  • Knowledge of data governance and privacy regulations, such as GDPR or CCPA.
  • Experience with HPCC/ECL.
