Job Description

This position is responsible for day-to-day Hot Pit Dump Truck Operation in a steel mill environment. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Operate heavy off-road equipment and dump truck
• Shovel material
• Pressure wash equipment
• Perform general labor tasks
• Record routine mobile equipment pre-start and post inspections
• Complete required activity reports
• Follow all company and customer policies and rules
• Maintain a high level of safety and comply with all safe work requirements

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1–3 years of experience operating clutch-driven trucks
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to perform manual labor in an outdoor environment that may include elevated areas and extreme weather conditions
• Good communication skills and ability to read operating instructions
• Proactive in safety and works well in a team environment
