About Atomic Semi

Atomic Semi is building a small, fast semiconductor fab. We design, fabricate, and iterate lithography and deposition tools using today’s technology and a few simplifications. Our team of mechanical, electrical, hardware, and process engineers owns the stack from atoms to architecture. We believe we can build anything and have extensive in‑house capabilities such as 3D printers, microscopes, e‑beam writers, and fabrication equipment.

About The Role

As an Electronic Hardware Design Engineer, you will work closely with other engineers to rapidly prototype and test lithography systems, deposition tools, vacuum chambers, nanometer‑precision motion control, plasma etching systems, and related tools. You’ll be expected to design, prototype, test, and debug new electrical systems and optimize electrical components across various applications.

  • Investigate optimal design approaches and perform detailed analysis/simulations to evaluate electrical designs.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in electrical engineering, or equivalent skill.
  • 2‑5 years of experience designing electrical hardware end‑to‑end in industry.
  • Experience with analog and digital circuit design and testing.
  • Experience with PCB design and simulation tools (Altium, KiCad, LTSpice).
  • Hands‑on with start‑up experience.
  • Electronic hardware design end to end.

Nice‑to‑Have

  • Architect and big picture thinking.
  • High speed digital design.
  • Control theory (control loop design, stability analysis).

Benefits

  • Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance.
