Job Summary
The Sales Recruiter III oversees the full spectrum of sales recruiting and talent acquisition for Mortgage Loan Officers/Loan Specialists who can drive revenue growth and contribute positively to the success of financial services. This role provides the plans and guidance for identifying, assessing, and onboarding top talent. As a leader in the recruitment space, the Mortgage Sales Recruiter III serves as a trusted advisor to hiring managers, delivers an exceptional candidate experience, and consistently meets or exceeds key performance indicators (KPIs).
Job Functions
- Talent Acquisition: Leads the development and execution of Talent Acquisition strategies for all Financial Services Mortgage Sales roles including Mortgage Loan Originators, Loan Specialists, and Loan Officer Assistants, ensuring there are candidates to fill existing vacancies and a pipeline of qualified candidates available for future vacancies.
- Serves as a trusted advisor and talent partner to hiring managers, providing guidance and solutions to address their hiring needs, inform them of market trends, and ensure seamless alignment between talent acquisition practices and business objectives.
- Conducts full-cycle recruiting, from initial kickoff meetings to candidate onboarding, by utilizing various sourcing methods to identify and attract top talent, leveraging all communication channels to engage high-performing talent, including social media, email campaigns, phone calls, direct mail, in-person meetings, Zoom, etc.
- Seek and build relationships with top talent for current and future job openings, including direct calls, networking, posting and engaging on social media, sourcing candidates from various geographical areas, professional communities, alternate industries, diverse groups, hiring and community events, job boards, etc.
- Partners closely with managers to understand details of the branch, compensation plan, expectations, EVP (employee value proposition), and projected production. With that information, conduct in-depth pre-screen, phone, in-person or virtual interviews to assess a candidate’s qualifications, sales skills, motivation, and cultural add.
- Develops tailored recruiting strategies and executes them to locate top qualified talent.
- Maintain a consistent requisition load of approximately 10-20 positions organizing them by priority level determined by leadership.
- Utilize a CRM or ATS to maintain pipeline throughout the year; prioritize candidates with availability in the short-term and nurture relationships of qualified candidates who may take a few months to close.
- Ensures Talent Acquisition practices incorporate Boundless equity, inclusion and belonging principles.
- Ensures strict compliance and operational efficiency in the review of employment applications, background checks, and drug screens, safeguarding the organization against potential legal, financial, or reputational risks.
- Identifies and resolves complex challenges within the sales recruitment process, addressing systemic issues and implementing solutions to ensure alignment with company strategy and mitigate risks with critical departmental impact.
- Utilize the NMLS database to identify and contact candidates with desirable production rates and targeted geographic location.
- Provide detailed feedback to hiring managers and ensure timely communication with candidates.
- Oversees the entire offer process, ensuring alignment and collaboration among HR Generalists, hiring managers, and key stakeholders and negotiates job terms, conditions and compensation package with candidates under guidance from the TA Lead and hiring manager or VP.
- Conducts reference checks, confirms candidate credentials alongside licensing and other departments as needed, and gathers additional information about candidates as requested by hiring managers.
- Partners with HR Operations to ensure seamless onboarding and integration of new hires, mitigating risks that could result in critical disruptions to team performance and organizational outcomes.
- Designs and implements scalable, data-driven processes and programs to achieve ambitious hiring goals and address evolving workforce planning needs, mitigating risks of recruitment gaps that could critically impact operations and programs such as researching market and MLO demographics, reviewing pipeline reports to address evolving workforce planning needs, and improving recruitment gaps that could impact operations and hiring.
- Serves as the company’s brand ambassador at national career fairs, industry conferences, and specialized recruiting events, targeting critical talent segments and enhancing the company’s employer brand.
Talent Acquisition Operations
- Work closely with Talent Acquisition Lead to contribute to recruitment process improvements and implement best practices.
- Identifies, designs, and implements innovative strategies to enhance the candidate experience and streamline the hiring process for candidates, solving challenges that directly impact recruitment success and employer brand reputation.
- Stay up to date on sales industry trends, competitor hiring practices, and the evolving needs of the sales workforce.
- Serves as a key organizational representative at industry events, interview workshops, and recruitment conferences, bringing back cutting-edge strategies to enhance Talent Acquisition practices and positioning the company as an employer of choice.
Requirements And Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business, Management, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of advanced education and extensive professional experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Talent Acquisition field required; experience recruiting MLOs preferred; proven track record of managing complex recruitment challenges and delivering results in high-impact roles required.
- Demonstrated proficiency in leveraging advanced recruitment technology and analytics, including mastery of Microsoft Office Suite and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), to enhance process efficiency; Workday experience preferred.
- Exceptional communication skills, with expertise in delivering clear and compelling messaging via phone, email, and in-person interactions across all levels of the organization.
- Proven ability to analyze complex problems, gather and interpret data, evaluate alternative solutions, and develop sound, strategic recommendations.
- Expertise in managing multiple, high-stakes priorities with competing deadlines, ensuring flawless execution and delivery under pressure.
- Impeccable attention to detail and organizational skills, enabling efficient management of large-scale recruitment initiatives with minimal oversight.
- Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across teams and with external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to foster strong partnerships and maintain long-term relationships with hiring managers, vendors, and external partners.

- Proven success in working both independently and collaboratively within a team environment, acting as a mentor and leader to junior team members.
Physical Demands
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time.
- Will be constantly operating a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a telephone, calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
