Job Description

The HR Generalist plays a key role in supporting all aspects of human resources operations at QES. This position is responsible for recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations, compliance, and performance management. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, approachable, and passionate about fostering a positive workplace culture while ensuring compliance with company policies and employment laws.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting, including job postings, screening, interviews, and offers.
  • Coordinate and conduct new hire orientation and onboarding.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee questions and HR-related concerns.
  • Support conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and respectful workplace environment.
  • Assist supervisors with performance reviews, goal setting, and development plans.
  • Identify training needs and help coordinate employee learning opportunities.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, leave, and retirement plans.
  • Partner with payroll to ensure accurate and timely compensation processing.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations.
  • Maintain accurate HR documentation, records, and reports in HRIS systems.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience: 2–5 years in HR or a similar generalist role.
  • Strong knowledge of HR laws, policies, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • High level of confidentiality and professionalism.

Preferred Qualifications

  • HR certification (PHR, SHRM‑CP, or equivalent).
  • Experience with payroll or benefits administration software.
  • Exposure to multi‑state employment laws and compliance.
