Role Summary
Tessera seeks a motivated and reliable Janitor with a professional attitude. The role involves sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal, and working directly with a teammate on an assigned route across Joint Base Lewis‑McChord.
Typical Duties Include
- Restroom Cleaning – sanitize toilets, urinals, sinks, fixtures, walls & doors; restock supplies; collect trash; sweep and mop floor; follow cross‑contamination procedures.
- Office Cleaning – sweep, mop, vacuum per schedule.
- Halls and High‑Traffic Area Cleaning – sweep, mop, vacuum per schedule.
- Entrances and Exits Cleaning – sweep, mop, vacuum, clean entry doors per schedule.
- Trash – empty trash in office areas, lunchrooms, coffee areas, restrooms, shower/locker per schedule.
- Supply Restocking – restock supplies per schedule.
- Dusting – dust restrooms, shower/locker areas per schedule.
- Stairwell Cleaning – sweep, mop, vacuum, wipe handrails per schedule.
- Shower Cleaning – clean shower stalls, wipe dust, restock supplies, mop floors following cross‑contamination procedures.
- Janitorial Supply Closet/Locker – keep clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Ability to communicate courteously and helpfully.
- Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and maintain stamina for assigned duties.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motions for several hours.
- Standing or sitting for several hours, climbing stairs, operating vehicles as required.
- Perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods.
Requirements
- Valid state driver license; must obtain and maintain qualification for Tessera’s insurance carrier.
- Maintain applicable security clearances and installation access.
- Real ID‑compliant driver’s license or acceptable alternative (U.S. passport or military ID) for federal installation access.
