Job Description

The Accounting Manager is responsible for gathering, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information. The role may include hiring, training, and coaching subordinates, enforcing corporate policies, and overseeing financial objectives such as preparing budgets, monitoring expenses, and initiating corrective actions. The manager also guides other departments with financial insights, ensures compliance with legislation, and participates in educational opportunities to advance the company’s financial model.

Other Responsibilities

  • Manage daily activities of the accounting department.
  • Collect and provide information for audit inquiries and assist auditors.
  • Assist in developing and implementing policies and procedures related to financial management, budgeting, and accounting.
  • Oversee posting and maintenance of general ledger accounts, payroll transactions, accounts payable, and general ledger adjustments.
  • Provide financial analysis statements including monthly balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and variance analysis.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of GAAP at an expert level.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Proficient knowledge of typical business correspondence (grammar, structure, punctuation, spelling).
  • Professional communication skills (phone, interpersonal, written, verbal).
  • Self-motivated, proactive, detail-oriented and a team player.
  • Interpretation and completion of verbal and/or written instructions at a proficient level.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Master’s Degree preferred.
  • 7–10 years of directly related or closely related experience.
  • 3–5 years of Management and/or Supervisory experience.

Salary Range: $55,000.00–$65,000.00
