As a Server, you’ll be responsible for the forefront of Resident interaction with the dining program for the community. From daily operation of the restaurant and bar to catering and special events. The Server will take orders, deliver food and drinks, answer questions regarding menu and drink selections, and work closely with wait, bar staff, and kitchen to ensure the restaurant operates efficiently.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Prepare restaurant for lunch/dining by setting decorations, condiments, napkins, and utensils.
  • Protect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies.
  • Explain chef's specialties; identify appropriate wines; answer food preparation questions.
  • Stay updated on current menu choices, specialties, and menu deviations, and know when kitchen staff is running out of items.
  • Transmit orders to bar and kitchen by recording Resident choices, identifying special dietary needs and special requests.
  • Serve orders by picking up and delivering patrons' choices from bar and kitchen; deliver accompaniments and condiments from service bars.
  • Respond to additional patron requirements by inquiring of needs, observing the dining process.
  • Maintain table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses; being alert to patron spills or other special needs.
  • Properly open and pour wine at the tableside.
  • Obtain revenues by totaling charges; issuing bills; accepting payment; returning credit card and signature slip to Resident.
  • Other duties as required.
  • Reserved for property‑specific job responsibilities.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • GED or High School Diploma.
  • At least 1 year of kitchen experience.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills required.
  • Knowledgeable of proper food handling procedures.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 30–50 lbs.
  • Work in an upright standing or sitting position for long periods of time.
  • Reach with hands and arms.
  • Communicate, receive, and exchange ideas and information by means of the spoken and written word.
