is seeking a
Certified Medical Assistant
to perform various office and clinical duties to keep our healthcare practice running efficiently. The Certified Medical Assistant serves as a vital member of the clinical support team at Novant Health by establishing an authentic personalized relationship with the patient, collaborating with physicians and other team members. The Certified Medical Assistant will perform a preliminary exam to include vitals, interviewing the patient to identify current medical needs, assist with procedures in the office and administer medications as directed by clinician. The Certified Medical Assistant will work in an ambulatory setting performing a variety of tasks to assist the patient in navigating their health journey, including rooming patients, assisting during in office procedures, handling incoming/outgoing patient referrals and radiology orders. This position will support specialty surgeons who specialize in cancer, colon and rectal, endocrine surgery. Must be a graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant Program; Medical Assistant curriculum must include pharmacology and medication administration.
