So it is our pleasure to announce that we are currently seeking a full-time candidate for the role of Custodial-Mover to join our team!

By ICL definition, a Custodial-Mover is responsible for cleaning all areas of an assigned facility while attending to minor building maintenance and repairs. This individual will also transport office equipment and/or residential household items for relocation services. – activities, tasks, and equipment/vehicle usage vary according to the season and individual needs of the program.

To be considered for this role, you MUST adhere to and understand the requirements and tasks listed below…

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

VALID State Driver’s License Photo ID – NY, NJ, CT, or PA preferred

No Education Required and/or OSHA 30 Certified – a plus but not mandatory

Available 5 Days Min. b/w Monday to Sunday – Days, Hours, and Location: TBD

Strong communication, writing, and conveying skills – bilingual is a plus, but not mandatory

2+ years of custodial AND moving experience – knowledge of safe and efficient cleaning and moving methods preferred

Proper attire at all times – this includes work pants, boots, and outer/inner-wear with the ICL company logo (provided after training)

Following all safety guidelines for the performance of the tasks mentioned below

CUSTODIAL-MOVER TASKS:

Pest Control – maintain vigilance against pests and report the need for special pest control

Moving – storing, packing, loading, repositioning furniture, and removing large objects from the floor

Restrooms – restock toilet tissue and other dispensers, empty trash, sanitize fixtures, mirrors, toilets, etc.

Proper use of industrial equipment, like floor buffers and industrial floor washers, to clean and finish floors

Cleaning – dusting, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, buffing, windows, gum/dirt removal, trash, and so on

Knowledge of responsible and safe cleaning product usage – ie: clorox, ammonia, isopropyl alcohol, and more…

Heavy Lifting, Pushing & Pulling of up to 25+ lbs – the ability to bend, kneel, squat, and stand for long periods is a MUST

Restock carts and closets at the end of each shift - ensure completion of assigned cleaning schedule tasks within each shift

Attend to and fix minor building issues (i.e., leaky faucets, faulty light switches, flooded areas, incidental spills, and related clean-up work

Trash – check all containers before moving them, recycling, maintain removal systems, including rotation of garbage receptacles, and replace liners

Groundskeeping – outside duties such as lawn mowing, bush trimming, snow removal (shoveling), keeping lawns or sidewalks clean, mowing grass, raking leaves, and tending to ornamental gardens, etc., as needed

Perform other job-related tasks as assigned in an organized and detail-oriented manner…
