Position Overview

A community health clinic in California is seeking an experienced Family Medicine Physician to provide locum tenens coverage in a flexible outpatient setting. The provider will work with patients of all ages , splitting time between a mobile clinic and a brick-and-mortar clinic .

Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English is required to serve a linguistically diverse patient population.

This is a 3-6 month assignment with flexible scheduling between 3 and 5 days per week. The practice sees an average of 18-21+ patients per day. Orientation is fully billable, and credentialing is completed within 30 days.

Assignment Highlights
  • Schedule: 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 1:00 PM - 7:00 PM

Skills & Experience
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited institution

  • Active California medical license (in hand required)

  • Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English required

  • DEA license required

  • BLS certification required

  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Family Practice (BC preferred)

  • Minimum of 2 years of outpatient clinical experience

  • Comfortable treating pediatric and adult patient populations

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide outpatient primary care in both fixed clinic and mobile settings

  • Manage patient panels of all ages, including pediatrics

  • Conduct examinations, develop treatment plans, and follow up on care

  • Communicate effectively in Spanish and English with patients and families

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes

  • Document accurately and efficiently in EPIC EMR

  • Deliver culturally competent care to a diverse community
