Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Pay Range: $30-$35 DOE
Location: Cranston, RI

Job Summary

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a Maintenance Technician responsible for the overall maintenance and repair of equipment, tools, and machinery as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain the safe working condition of facility equipment, building, and grounds.
• Construct fixtures as required.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on equipment as scheduled.
• Repair facility equipment, fixtures, building, and grounds.
• Remove and/or install fixtures and equipment for safe, efficient operation.
• Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems to determine causes of failures and recommend solutions for repair.
• Maintain cleanliness, functionality, and efficiency of maintenance equipment, tools, and fixtures.

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of technical school or equivalent training, experience, and education .
• At least 5 years of industrial experience in electrical or mechanical support functions.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements, especially those related to electrical and mechanical operations and components.
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Full knowledge of three-phase 480-volt equipment.
• Working knowledge of three-phase motors, programmable controls, circuits, computer interfaces, and the Electrical Code.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to endure intermittent bending, crouching, pushing, pulling, stooping, and reaching.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to work under extreme conditions such as hot or cold temperatures, noise, dust, and dirt.
