Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Lead Cybersecurity Solutions Architect to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in enhancing our cybersecurity posture by collaborating with engineering and business teams to implement established guidelines and best practices.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Communicate cybersecurity guidelines effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Engage continuously with engineering teams to provide guidance on architecture decisions and assist in implementing cybersecurity controls.
  • Identify and mitigate cybersecurity risks through thorough threat modeling of products and enterprise tools.
  • Provide cybersecurity architecture consultation across major programs, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Act as a representative for cybersecurity within the product and engineering teams, promoting a culture of security.
  • Collaborate with enterprise architecture, infrastructure, and engineering teams to review current designs, identify security gaps, and recommend enhancements.
  • Participate in security events and incident response efforts to refine our defenses against future threats.
  • Educate architects and engineers on cybersecurity best practices, fostering a secure development environment.
  • Work closely with legal and risk compliance teams to ensure all architectural solutions meet regulatory and contractual obligations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline with 6 years of relevant experience; or a master's degree with 4 years; or a Ph.D. with 1 year; or 10 years of experience in a related field.
  • At least 4 years of focused experience in cybersecurity.
  • Familiarity with AWS infrastructure and services design and security.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including writing and executive presentation abilities.
  • A collaborative mindset to work with various stakeholders and teams within the organization.
  • Proficiency in evaluating risks and recommending actionable solutions based on business impacts.
  • Strong knowledge of current cybersecurity architectures, such as zero trust, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and DevSecOps.
  • Experience utilizing Agile methodologies in project management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience designing cybersecurity standard methodologies across both cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Knowledge of IAM, cryptography, access controls, and security protocols.
  • Hands-on experience with application security and tool implementations.
  • Expertise in programming languages and frameworks such as Python, .NET, Java, and serverless architecture.
  • Experience with network security mechanisms, including firewalls and DMZ architectures.
  • Knowledge of the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
  • Experience with cloud solutions strategies on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Familiarity with national critical infrastructure industries.
  • Relevant professional certifications such as CISSP, CEH, and AWS certifications.

Compensation: The base salary ranges from $119,600 to $199,400 and may vary based on location and experience. This position may also be eligible for an incentive program.
