Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled

Microsoft Azure Engineer

to join our team and enhance our cloud infrastructure capabilities. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing scalable, secure, and resilient Azure cloud solutions that support business objectives. Your work will focus on leveraging Azure services such as Data Factory, Databricks, Service Bus, and both SQL and NoSQL databases to drive automation, support production environments, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex problems in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Architecture & System Design Design, implement, and support scalable, secure, and resilient Azure cloud solutions that align with business objectives. Utilize Azure services including Compute, Storage, Networking, and Identity to build robust cloud architectures. Ensure all designs and implementations meet HIPAA compliance requirements. Data Integration & Pipeline Development Develop and manage data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Databricks for ETL processes. Integrate data from various sources into Azure Blob Storage, SQL Server, and NoSQL databases. Implement real-time data processing solutions using Azure Service Bus and Azure Functions. Database Management & Optimization Design, implement, and maintain both SQL and NoSQL databases on Azure. Optimize database performance and ensure data integrity and security. Implement data governance and compliance measures in line with industry standards. Automation & DevOps Practices Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and Ansible. Implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps to streamline deployment processes. Monitor and optimize cloud resources for performance and cost efficiency. Production Support & Troubleshooting Provide ongoing support for production environments, ensuring high availability and performance. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Azure services and infrastructure. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve technical challenges. Collaboration & Communication Work closely with Operations and other teams to understand requirements and deliver tailored Azure solutions. Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels to ensure alignment and understanding of technical solutions. Mentor and guide junior team members in best practices and Azure technologies.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). Experience: 3+ years in Azure cloud engineering roles, with a proven track record in data integration, pipeline development, and database management. Technical Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate (preferred). Technical Skillset: Expertise in Azure services such as Data Factory, Databricks, Service Bus, Blob Storage, SQL Server, and NoSQL databases. Proficiency in Python and experience with Terraform and Ansible. Soft Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and deliver high-touch support.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Location: Primarily remote with occasional onsite support required at our Indianapolis, IN office. Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday (8 AM–5 PM), with occasional after-hours support for critical issues. Fast-Paced Setting: Must excel in a dynamic environment with multiple concurrent tasks and changing priorities. Collaborative Team Culture: Regular interaction with cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges.
