World Electric Supply is hiring a full‑time Warehouse Associate (3rd shift, 2:30 pm–11:30 pm) to support distribution operations in Florida and Georgia.
As a Warehouse Associate you will help receive, put away, pick, pack, load, and ship materials efficiently and safely, while maintaining accurate records through our warehouse software.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, identify, and inspect incoming shipments; verify documentation and record receipt.
- Open containers, sort goods, and place items in the correct storage locations according to product code or other sequence.
- Operate forklifts/cherry pickers and other material‑handling equipment to move goods throughout the warehouse.
- Assemble customer orders from stock, verify picks, and prepare pallets or shipping cartons.
- Load outbound trucks, consolidate freight, and manage shipping documentation.
- Maintain warehouse equipment, perform routine checks, and report maintenance needs.
- Use warehouse software to enter records, produce tickets, and track inventory levels.
Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education and at least three months of related experience.
- Previous forklift or cherry picker experience and basic safety knowledge.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and internet applications.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedures.
- Numerical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, ratios and percentages.
- Effective written communication for routine reports and correspondence.
Physical Demands
- Frequently lift, carry, push, or slide packages up to 75 lbs.; occasional lifting beyond 75 lbs. with assistance.
- Stand, walk, bend, climb, reach, and use hands continuously.
- Maintain mental and visual alertness for safety and accuracy.
- Require flexibility and mobility in body movements.
