Job Overview

The purpose of this position is to interact with our guests and ensure they have a great experience when dining at the Country Club. Front-of-House Service Staff are responsible for positive guest interactions while serving guests in a friendly and efficient manner. At all times, servers are expected to be attentive to our guests needs and making them feel welcome, comfortable, important, and relaxed.

General Responsibilities

• Prepares the tables, lays out napkins and utensils, refills condiments, and performs all other preparation tasks.
• Stays updated on current menu choices, specialties, and menu deviations; informs kitchen staff if items are running out.
• Handles table bookings, directs customers to their tables, presents menus, suggests dishes, assists in drink selection, informs customers about food preparation details, and communicates specific customer needs to the cooks.
• Maintains proper dining experience, delivers items, fulfills customer needs, offers desserts and drinks, removes courses, replenishes utensils, and refills glasses.
• Opens and pours wine at the tableside.
• Accurately takes all forms of payment including cash.
• Performs basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor.
• Fills in for absent staff as needed.
• Assists with special events as needed.
• Greets all guests and Members warmly with an appropriate greeting.
• Adheres to grooming and appearance standards consistently.
• Understands and can communicate products and services available at the club.

Job Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience: Previous serving experience required.
• Excellent oral communication skills required.
• Positive interpersonal skills required.
• Must speak English fluently and be able to write in basic English.

Pay

• Restaurant Servers are paid at $3.50/hour plus gratuities.
