Federal Signal
Perform duties to clean assigned plant area, including rest rooms, following established routines.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Works from instructions. Cleans assigned plant areas, including rest rooms. Operates power cleaning equipment, such as floor sweepers, polishers, and vacuum cleaners, and uses push brooms and shovels. Removes and separates various types of chips and drillings, compresses paper stock, removes refuse from waste containers and moves to designated locations. Scrubs or mops floors, washes down areas and waxes and polishes floors. Cleans drinking fountains, wash basins and lavatories and checks and replenishes supplies. Vacuums, dusts furniture and polishes metal surfaces as required. Checks and turns off lighting and electrical equipment as directed. Notifies supervisor of unusual equipment or operating problems. Uses hand tools and power cleaning equipment. Follows safety rules and keeps work area in a clean and orderly condition. Performs other related duties as assigned. Must train and be certified for powered walkie operation. Operates floor cleaning equipment, including rider scrubber. Maintain floor cleaning equipment. Operates floor grinder equipment. Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. Minor dry wall patching and painting projects. Computer literate, familiar with web-based ordering software. Operator bailing equipment and removal of full bails of cardboard for recycling. May require some 2nd shift or split weeks. Operate basic plumbing equipment, including clean up. Carpet shampooing. Perform other duties as assigned. Education, Skills, and Work Experience:
A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent is required.
Wage Range: $17.85 - $21.16
