JOB SUMMARY
The Shipping and Receiving Specialist performs physical and administrative tasks related to the shipping, receiving, storing, distributing, and order fulfillment of merchandise, products, materials, parts, supplies, and equipment. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to operate industrial equipment in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities Perform quality checks on outbound and inbound shipments Stage and pack outbound shipments according to site policies Execute ERP system transactions for shipments Update FMS for parcel and freight shipments Use handheld RF scanners and Warehouse Management System to fulfill orders Maintain inventory accuracy Handle and control hazardous materials on inbound and outbound shipments Comply with 5S safety and housekeeping practices Complete required safety training and follow risk protocols Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Lift up to 75 pounds unassisted Operate powered industrial trucks including WAV, order picker (up to 35'), reach truck, dock stocker, and pallet jacks Create repair RMAs and manage shipment issues within repair systems Learn and follow basic work instructions for functional assignments Provide input for continuous improvement and process standardization Resolve basic problems under supervision and perform rudimentary analysis Evaluate and maintain equipment Create expense orders for internal repair consumption Ensure compliance with ISO requirements and external audits Perform other duties as assigned Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required Minimum 1 year of relevant experience Effective communication skills Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Proficient in desktop usage Basic math skills and ability to read a ruler Fundamental reading and writing skills
