Flowers Crew Foreman
role to service the extended Metro Atlanta Area from our Mableton/Holly Springs, GA—South/West Branch.
Crabapple is a privately owned company with over 30 years of successful operation. Our dedicated team of professionals is committed to enhancing outdoor environments, making us one of Atlanta’s top five locally owned landscape firms. We proudly partner with community HOAs, senior living facilities, corporate campuses, multi-family housing, commercial properties, and CIDs. We seek a skilled, motivated Enhancement Foreman focused on safety and exceptional customer service. Key responsibilities include conducting site inspections and providing leadership and guidance to our landscape enhancement crews.
Summary: As a Floriculture Foreperson at Crabapple LandscapExperts, your responsibilities will include managing a crew of 1-2 people, ensuring the preparation of the truck each day with the appropriate materials, and completing assigned annual color installations while following Crabapples' required installation techniques and designs. Trained new crew members on the Crabapple Standards and communicated effectively with your manager. After the installation season, you’ll maintain our installations with your crew to ensure that Crabapple has the highest-quality flowers in the industry.
Core Capabilities: · Ability to manage a team and have excellent time management skills to complete jobs on time. · Working knowledge of flowers and good agronomic practices · Push, pull, grip, and squeeze various tools, products, and/or items · Walk uphill and on uneven terrain, often while carrying, pushing, or pulling equipment, materials, or debris. · Bending and kneeling on the ground · Able to lift, carry, and push 50 pounds or more, repetitively lift heavy objects, including planters, soil, and plants · Take and follow instructions well. Duties: · Instruct the crew on their tasks each day · Report to your supervisor any issues throughout the day. · Provide pictures to your supervisor of the completed work and issues. · Complete you crew timesheets daily with signatures · Turn in job packets daily with all paperwork and receipt. · Plant material properly, considering depth, size, placement, and spacing · Prep soil uniformly for flower installation · Apply mulch appropriately for the type of material · Water material correctly · Spray various
pesticides/herbicides · Care for tools and equipment appropriately. · Identify and distinguish weeds from desirable plants. · Ensure you and your crew always keep the truck clean and neat. · Report any issues found during daily DOT checks and report to the mechanic.
Requirements:
Valid driver’s license and ability to acquire a DOT medical card and drive a pickup truck and trailer. Reliable transportation to get to work. Have consistent attendance so your team can count on you. Wear appropriate uniforms (provided) and proper footwear (not provided) Communicate effectively with your foreperson. Work Conditions: Flexible working hours, including occasional weekend work Work outside in various weather conditions Be an early riser; we start at 6:30 a.m.; however, start times may vary.
