Job Summary: The Accounting Manager at Liberty Tire Recycling is responsible for overseeing the entire AP function, ensuring accurate, timely processing of vendor payments, and maintaining strong internal controls. This role leads a team that supports daily AP activities, system optimization, and process improvements across all sites. The ideal candidate brings deep experience with AP systems and a track record of driving operational excellence in a fast-paced, multi-site environment. This role will be based onsite in our Sanford, NC office. Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage and lead the Accounting team, including hiring, coaching, and performance management Oversee day-to-day accounts payable operations across all sites Manage vendor relationships and ensure timely payment of all invoices Drive automation and process improvement Implement and manage AI systems to enhance AP accuracy, efficiency, and reporting Oversee implementation and optimization of accounts payable systems Maintain and enforce internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies Monitor accounts payable metrics, report on KPIs, and identify opportunities for efficiency gains Support month-end closing processes and assist with audits as needed Collaborate cross-functionally with procurement, operations, and finance leadership to resolve payment issues Promote a culture of continuous improvement and high performance within the Accounting team Skills and Abilities:

Strong understanding of accounts payable workflows, compliance, and internal controls Proven experience managing and leading an accounts payable team in a high-volume, multi-site setting Expertise in accounts payable systems and ERP platform including MAS/Sage platform experience preferred Demonstrated experience implementing AI tools within accounts payable functions (e.g., automation, smart matching, invoice scanning) Ability to lead process transformation and system implementations Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills High attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy Strong analytical and reporting skills Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required Minimum 5–7 years of experience in Accounts Payable, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role Experience with automation tools or AI-powered accounts payable systems strongly preferred Experience in tire recycling, manufacturing, or multi-site industrial environment strongly preferred EEO Statement:
