POSITION SUMMARY: The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading the maintenance team to ensure all production lines are running at or above targets, perform capital projects, and support PLC and instrumentation troubleshooting and repair. They are responsible for daily tasks and assignments for the maintenance team including but limited to and all troubleshooting, repairs, and improvements of the equipment and facilities at the Fareva Morton Grove location. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead and supervise the maintenance team in daily operations, prioritizing safety, efficiency, and equipment reliability. Responsible for collaborating with Manufacturing and Quality to ensure all machinery is proactively maintained to proper working standards. Ensuring the maintenance team adhere to the safety policies and procedures. Train the department staff on how to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain labelers, coder machines, fillers, and line-related mechanical components to ensure production can achieve output targets. Tracking expenses and overseeing the budget for the maintenance department. Conducting regular inspections of the

facilities/equipment

to identify and resolve problems. Assigning repair schedules and evaluating repair cost estimates. Documenting and preparing daily progress reports and maintenance logs. Oversee equipment stock and place orders for new supplies when necessary. Manage the company’s Preventative Maintenance (PM) program. Manage relationships with contractors and service providers. Maintain maintenance logs and report on daily activities. Create a culture of safety by educating employees on safety standards and expectations and the safe operation of equipment. Establish, implement, train, and monitor maintenance guidelines for the maintenance teams, including safety on the job and preventative maintenance. Provide input into preparation of annual maintenance budget and prepare budget requests. Develop, implement, and monitor strategies for continuous improvement in equipment reliability and effectiveness. Provide guidance and support direct reports.

REQUIRED

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED required, associate or bachelor’s degree in industrial maintenance, engineering, or related field preferred. 5 plus years experience in maintenance from manufacturing, packaging, or filling environment Strong knowledge of PLC and servo systems. Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including air, electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Experience with liquid filling equipment. Experience in implementing maintenance best practices and processes.

The working environment includes both office and plant floor settings. Exposure to industrial noise, forklift traffic, noise, wet floors, odors, fumes, moving mechanical parts, and temperature fluctuations and extremes in operating areas of the plant. Specified PPE required in operational areas.
