Position Overview We're hiring a
Scale Operator
who can bring reliability, attention to detail, and solid material knowledge to the yard. This is a boots-on-the-ground role-you're not just operating equipment, you're helping maintain trust and accountability with our customers and our team.
What You'll Do Accurately weigh incoming and outgoing scrap metal using scale systems Identify ferrous and non-ferrous metals confidently Input ticket data and maintain clean, organized records Work directly with drivers and customers during deliveries and pickups Support the team by keeping the scale area orderly and safe Communicate clearly with yard crew and front office
Must Haves and Responsibilities Experienced in scrap or recycling operations (preferred) Strong understanding of different metals and classifications Comfortable working outdoors and in a fast-paced environment Dependable, punctual, and proactive Able to use basic computer systems for ticketing A team player-willing to learn, lend a hand, and grow with us
Hours: Monday to Friday: 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM Saturday: 6:00 AM - 12:00 PM
