Position Description: In collaboration with the Community Schools Coordinator, the After School Program Instructor ensures that the program meets the needs of the students and families on campus by providing a safe, joyful and developmentally appropriate environment for all. Set schedule is as follows: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday- 2:30-6pm

Wednesday- 12:30-6pm

Job Responsibilities: Program and Student Management Plan, facilitate, and supervise daily activities that are engaging and developmentally appropriate for students

Collaborate with team members to plan and execute a dynamic daily programming schedule

Ensure housekeeping, including but not limited to, set-up and clean-up of after school classrooms, gym, and other shared spaces

Comply and adhere to all compliance and licensure standards, including local, state, and national regulatory entities

Create, maintain, and model a safe and welcoming environment for all students and families

Communicate regularly with families – celebrating successes, identifying challenges, and setting individual student goals.

Document all incidents, and clearly communicate occurrences to school leadership and student caregivers.

Perform other duties as assigned

Data Management Maintain systems to recognize, track, and celebrate positive behaviors and build social-emotional skills in all youth

Maintain program records for class, including but not limited to: classroom attendance, meal counts, accident reports, and anecdotal notes related to health, peer relationships, individualized goals, etc

Report to and maintain consistent communication with the Community Schools Coordinator

Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements: Education High School Diploma, GED or equivalent Qualifications 18 years of age or older

A High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.

Experience working with kids ages 4-12

Ability to commit to a set schedule that varies infrequently

Ability to work with students and adults of diverse backgrounds, academic profiles, and skill levels

Possess good interpersonal and organizational skills

Must demonstrate responsibility, a desire to help others, discretion, and flexibility

Ability to work set schedule consistently

Physical Demands Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity.
