We are looking to hire a Marine Electrician to join a world class marina in Thunderbolt, GA who will be responsible for testing, maintaining, repairing and installing marine electrical components primarily on AC / DC electrical systems in yachts and commercial vessels. Understanding and ability to connect isolation transformers and galvanic isolators. And the proper wire and circuit overcurrent protection sizing and where to reference these standards is a must.

Responsibilities:

Able to install boat cable on bulkheads with brackets and screws, using hand tools, pulling wires through cable trays to terminal strips in junction boxes, to circuit breakers, to voltage regulators and to distribution switch panels. Stripping insulation from wire ends and making terminal connections of all types, if any, using stripping pliers and swaging tools. Then, making electrical connections to the intended device. Testing of electrical characteristics, for example, voltage, resistance, and phase angle, in circuits, using voltmeters, ohmmeters, and phase rotation indicators. Troubleshooting electrical equipment and circuits using appropriate test equipment to detect and affect required maintenance, repairs, or replacement requirements. Conducting resistance measurements of electrical cables where necessary to determine condition and effecting repairs or replacements as required. Qualifications and Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of industry experience in electrical, ideally within the marine environment. Possess a thorough understanding of AC or DC circuit operation and theory. Skilled at troubleshooting, diagnostics and completing repairs for system malfunctions. An ability to utilize all functions of a multi-meter. Capable of testing circuits for voltage, continuity and amp drawing. High school or general equivalency degree (GED) required. Benefits and Perks:
