Responsibilities of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA):
As a CNA, you are the heart of our resident care team. Your primary duties include:
Perform and assist residents with all Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, serving meals, feeding, ambulating, transferring, turning, and positioning, ensuring resident comfort and dignity at all times. Assist nurses by accurately taking and recording vital signs, weight, and intake/output. Maintain clean, safe, and pleasant living conditions for residents, ensuring rooms and common areas are tidy. Ensure all resident care services, reports, and records are completed in a timely and legible manner, reporting any changes in a resident's condition to the supervising nurse immediately. Assist residents with restorative and rehabilitative activities as instructed by therapy staff. Promote resident independence and self-care to the maximum extent possible. Perform all duties in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines, and facility protocols. Other duties as assigned by Unit Manager, Director of Nursing, and Administrator.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Ability to work effectively independently or as part of a collaborative group. Basic computer knowledge for charting and documentation. Previous long-term care experience is preferred but not required; we welcome enthusiastic new CNAs!
