ABOUT THE JOB The Senior IT Manager will lead the IT team responsible for the ongoing support, optimization, and enhancement of the overall logistics technology stack. This role ensures systems support the division’s business processes effectively and align with operational goals. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of ERP and warehouse management systems and strong leadership capabilities to manage projects, vendors, and internal stakeholders. Must have JD Edwards experience. WHAT YOU'LL DO Key Responsibilities:
  1. Systems Oversight :
  • Manage and support the applications across the logistics functions (finance, accounting, procurement, demand planning, warehouse management
  • Ensure system performance, availability, and reliability while minimizing disruptions to business operations.
  • Collaborate with business units to gather requirements and implement system improvements.
  • Team Leadership :
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of IT professionals, including business analysts, developers, and application administrators.
    • Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
    • Manage workload allocation, performance reviews, and training programs.
  • Technology Innovation & Continuous Improvement :
    • Stay informed on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in logistics IT, ERP, and warehouse management systems.
    • Evaluate and recommend new tools, software, and process improvements to drive operational efficiency and competitive advantage.
    • Lead initiatives to incorporate automation, AI, and advanced analytics into logistics technology solutions.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging innovation within the IT team.
  • Project Management :
      • Partner closely with the PMO office to ensure projects are complete withing scope, on schedule and on budget.
      • Oversee the resolution of functional and technical issues and risks. Brings in vendors and additional 3rd parties as needed.
      • Manage the enhancement prioritization process. Ensure alignment with the business stakeholders and IT resources are adequately allocated.
    1. Collaboration & Communication :
      • Act as the primary liaison between IT and business stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into system solutions.
      • Communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
      • Partner with external vendors, consultants, and third-party service providers.
    2. System Maintenance & Compliance :
      • Ensure regular system maintenance, patches, and updates.
      • Develop and enforce best practices for system usage, enhancements, and customizations.
      • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and company policies.
      WHAT YOU'LL NEED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:   Education and experience equivalent to: Education / Experience
    • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or comparable experience in the field.
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years managing IT applications teams.
    • At least 7 years of functional and technical experience in JD Edwards (Supply Chain, Distribution, Financials on version 9.2.x or later)
    • Strong understanding of JDE modules, including Order Management, Finance, Accounting, Manufacturing, Distribution, and Procurement.
    • Understanding of JD Edwards Development Lifecycle; familiarity with Object Management Workbench, EnterpriseOne, UDCs and project workflows
    • Proven experience in leading IT teams and managing complex projects.
    • Proficiency in ERP integrations, data management, and reporting tools.
    • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
    • Experience with enterprise integrations technologies and design principles
    • Experience with ITIL frameworks and project management methodologies (PMP certification is a plus).
    Preferred Skills:  
    • Experience in the distribution industry (food industry a plus)
    • Familiarity with automation tools, BI reporting tools, and database management.
    • Proficiency with SQL or equivalent DBMS language is required.
    • Techno Functional expertise in the areas of Supply Chain, Distribution, Financials
    • Knowledge of complementary systems like Demand Planning (Oracle), WMS (BlueYonder), Transportation Management Systems, ServiceNow.
    • Experience with EDI
    • Experience with DSI or similar WMS tool
    • Experience with AP and/or AR automation tools
    • Experience with JD Edwards Orchestrator
