One person, one family, one business at a time.Job Summary The Associate Financial Representative specializes in client service and processing of variable products and other securities and ensuring the maintenance of an efficient and compliant office, allowing the financial advisor to focus on building client relationships. The associate representative is a liaison between the home office, financial advisor and clients.
Key Responsibilities Case Prep
Create financial plans in PX (Northwestern Mutual’s proprietary software), agendas, and recommendations Create and analyze investment reports using internal NM tools and external platforms such as
Morningstar/Blackrock Run Illustrations (NM proprietary software) for clients applying for insurance products Gather financial data and client summary reports in advance of review meetings Analysis
Research, build, & manage investment portfolios and track their performance for clients and prospective clients Runn performance reports in Envestnet, Morningstar, and other NM specific proprietary reporting systems Investigate and research investments and portfolio ideas Intermittently evaluate portfolio models and potential changes Be cognizant of funds we could employ in the future Client Facing
Maintain Financial Advisor’s calendar – schedule and confirm appointments with existing clients Corresponding with clients to handle updates to client accounts or servicing needs Serve as a secondary point of contact for clients by presenting financial plans and identifying changes in their financial lives and needs that should be met Aid in client meetings by making presentations, taking notes, completing dictation, and building client relationships Ultimately help to continue servicing existing clients, helping to attract new clients, and impacting sales goals Minimum Job Requirements
2+ years of financial industry experience preferred Series 6 and/or 7 licensing preferred (or at least obtained within 6-12 months of employment) Obtain Life and Health license within 90 days of employment Strong analytical, problem solving, written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work well with others Ability to proactively identify what needs to be accomplished and act Ability to work both independently and on a team Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and reliability with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Committed to professional growth and development, independent learner that seeks knowledge Benefits
