Position Summary: The Director of Lending is responsible for operational sales performance and improvement across the Lending function. This role will be directly overseeing the day-to-day workflow of Loan Originators, Sales Enablement, and a Sales Associate in various geographies across the United States. This is a leadership role and as such will be accountable for coaching, supporting, creating retention, hiring, training, attrition, and performance management of Lending team. The Director of Lending will report to the Chief Lending Officer & Co-Founder of Renovo Financial.
Responsibilities: • Leadership: o Manages Lender activity to help achieve company set loan targets month over month. o Directly manages and develops VP’s of Lending and SVP’s who do not have an RMD, including daily, weekly, monthly huddles o Responsible for new LO onboarding and ramp up – improve onboard time, success, and pull through. o Central point of contact to de-escalate and resolve day to day barriers for the Lending team. o Creates and manages month over month New LO Tracking worksheet, communicates ranking and manages/coaches low performers timely and efficiently. o Career path management for Renovo team members in specific roles that are a breeding ground for Junior Lenders/ VP’s of lending. o Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization. o Collaborate with key stakeholders to implement new policies, procedures, or best practices to increase loan volume and/or effectiveness. o Maintains a high level of customer service by being proactive in communication with all parties involved. o Anticipates challenges and proactively engages the appropriate team members to cure issues quickly and amicably. • Sales Management o Build and develop best in class sales enablement and training platform that allows our team to thrive, grow, and retain. o Execute and manage projects and develop sales tools for the lending team, specifically that help team drive sales. o Partner with Operations to roll out new products and products updates and optimize sales process for all products. o Researching and understanding the prospective market in each city/state Renovo does business in and assists each Lender align their strategy to drive outcomes and overcome challenges. o Helps Lenders identify best products for their markets and how to leverage those products and attract new clients as well as best product for the LO to focus. o Ensure Renovo is ahead of market changes, products, pricing etc. o Execute pipeline management, tracking ongoing Lender activities, and creating analytics / dashboards. o Loan volume demand planning (monthly), rolling forecast (quarterly), perspective planning (annual) • Training / Development: o Collaborates with Renovo's leadership team to improve Sales processes & create efficiencies where possible. o Partners with Sandler on the sales methodology strategy at Renovo and evaluates success of the program. Manages each Lender consistently to meet the requirements of the program, evaluating quality of activities. o Assess and understand the needs of Renovo clients and maintain pulse on competition.
Ideal Candidate: • 5+ years’ experience in real estate / mortgage lending leading a Sales team. • Strong business sense and Lending industry expertise • Candidate has to be living in the Chicagoland area or willing to relocate. • Ability to work a hybrid schedule with majority of the week present in the office. • Travel required on as needed basis to various markets. • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to coach, develop and motivate a team. • Excellent communication skills • Proactive and hands on person with a growth mindset who is eager and able to take on challenging assignments. • Composed/thrives under pressure / problem solving & critical thinking skills. • Demonstrated learning
agility/intellectual
curiosity; drives own development. • Ability to quickly grasp concepts & analyze metrics. • Strong technical skills, familiarity with POS systems – Salesforce a plus • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel & PowerPoint is required.
