2nd Shift Hours: Monday – Thursday, 5:00pm – 3:30am

About the Company

Bila Solar is driving the next of American solar innovation, by transforming American solar production from our HQ in the heart of Indianapolis, Indiana — strengthening the domestic supply chain and creating advanced manufacturing jobs in clean energy. Led by highly-experienced industry veterans, we’re among the first-to-market to offer US-made solar cells in a 550w dual-glass module that can deliver exceptional durability and top-tier performance. But, we’re not stopping there. Our facility also produces an innovative, ultralight, 17-pound 520w module, designed for commercial rooftops and low-load-bearing structures, bringing solar to places traditional panels can’t reach.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in analyzing, addressing, and improving all solar-module quality problems
  2. Continuously improve product quality to meet all internal manufacturing standards and PV module customer quality requirements
  3. Collect and analyze internal data, and effectively use this data to drive quality improvement projects
  4. Continuously assess data collection/analysis processes to maximize the effectiveness of our solar-module manufacturing process
  5. Quickly and effectively address any customer complaints or product warranty issues
  6. Assist in the preparation and execution of ISO9001 certification, as well as customer audits, internal audits, LPAs, etc
  7. Support the Supplier Quality processes like incoming material inspections and Supplier CAPA follow-up
  8. Create and/or support the implementation of quality management procedures for new solar-module product introduction to ensure that new product quality levels meet all predetermined targets
  9. Perform Root Cause Analysis for all non-conforming material. Create and implement improvement plans and/or re-training activities as needed
  10. Ensure that quality-monitoring and measurement equipment receives proper maintenance, functions correctly, and is calibrated prior to use
  11. Coordinate activities with other shift personnel, as needed
  12. Support other company goals/objectives, as assigned.

Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field

Experience: 3+ years in quality control positions in manufacturing environment

Required Skills and Knowledge:

  1. Experience with current solar-module manufacturing processes and relevant quality standards
  2. Proficiency in quality control methods, statistical analysis, and data capture
  3. Proficiency with quality management techniques such as 8D, Root Cause Analysis, Pareto Charts, etc.
  4. Proficiency in MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  5. Strong problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail; ability to identify, address, and prevent quality risks
  6. Strong ability to effectively analyze and summarize the status of quality control projects
  7. Strong sense of responsibility, organizational skills, written/verbal communication skills, and teamwork capabilities
  8. High standard of professional ethics
