Job Title: Senior Data Scientist - Ads Platform Location: Remote (U.S. preferred, especially PST; must have overlap with ET & PT time zones. Pay Rate: $72/hour (W2 only) Duration: 3-month contract to start Visa Sponsorship / C2C: Not available; W2 only
Interview Process Step 1: 30-minute interview with hiring manager (non-technical) Step 2: Panel interview with cross-functional leads
Background/References: Required Role Overview The Senior Data Scientist will join a high-impact Ads Data Science team focused on improving advertiser experience and platform performance through advanced data science solutions. This role involves developing models, building data assets, and generating strategic insights to support product and engineering teams. The ideal candidate will be a proactive communicator and hands-on contributor in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Key ResponsibilitiesData Science & Modeling
Design and apply DS models to improve ad platform performance and advertiser experience Develop ML methods for anomaly detection, prediction, and pattern recognition Analyze large-scale datasets to uncover trends and actionable insights Data Infrastructure & Reporting
Build data assets (tables, dashboards) for self-service analytics Create reporting tools to monitor topline metrics and deep dive into product areas Collaboration & Strategy
Partner with product managers and engineers to define requirements and translate them into DS solutions Share strategic insights to influence product direction Communicate findings and recommendations across teams Required Qualifications
MS or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field Online advertising and ad tech data experience 5+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, or related field Strong understanding of:
Statistical modeling Machine learning algorithms Causal inference Experimental design
Proficiency in:
SQL Python or R ML libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with:
Large-scale data tools (Spark, Hadoop, Hive) BigQuery Online advertising and ad tech Causal inference and A/B testing
