Shipping and Receiving Associate

Position Overview We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Associate to join our team in Mars, PA. This role is responsible for preparing, processing, and tracking incoming and outgoing shipments while maintaining accurate inventory and ensuring smooth logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities
Shipment Preparation Package, label, seal, and weigh outgoing shipments according to customer and internal instructions Assist the Shipping Manager in prepping and crating shipments for transport Loading and Unloading
Safely load and unload trucks using forklifts or by hand Ensure materials are handled properly to prevent damage Documentation and Data Entry
Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading and packing slips Accurately enter shipping and inventory data into the ERP system Inventory Management
Inspect incoming shipments for damage or discrepancies Maintain accurate inventory records and report any issues Communication and Coordination
Coordinate with carriers, customers, and internal departments (such as customer service and production) to resolve shipping-related issues Maintain clear and timely communication regarding order status and logistics Problem Solving
Identify and assist in resolving issues related to shipping, receiving, and material handling processes Qualifications and Requirements
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required Experience
Prior experience in shipping, receiving, warehousing, or manufacturing preferred Technical Skills
Basic computer skills, including experience with ERP systems and shipping software Ability to operate power tools such as saws, nail guns, and handheld tools Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Able to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods Forklift experience or willingness to obtain certification Soft Skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment Dependable and adaptable, with a willingness to work overtime when needed
