This position is part of the Customer Services Business Unit of the Digital Industry Division of Siemens located in Lebanon, OH and reports to the Logistics Dept Manager.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the entire spectrum of warehouse operations and logistics processes. The Shipping & Receiving Specialist will be responsible for all aspects of inbound and outbound deliveries moving through the Lebanon, OH facility. This role will coordinate both domestic & International shipments to and from the facility ensuring compliance with all relevant import/export restrictions and legislation.

We are looking for a Shipping and Receiving Specialist. This position will be based in Lebanon, OH.

You will make an impact by:

Following all safety requirements, including use of all required personal protective equipment (PPE). Contribute to and maintain conditions that ensure a healthy and safe work environment.

Primary area of responsibility will be receiving and shipping, but may also include: put away, picking, or cycle counting of material

Ensuring transactional accuracy for all material movements - i.e. ensure the correct material number and quantity of material is moved to the specified location, and MRP system transactions are completed correctly.

Ensuring all material is properly identified with appropriate labels and part numbers.

Inspecting incoming goods for visible damage, document damage and provide the information to the appropriate persons

Carefully handling material to prevent any damage during handling in the warehouse

Packaging of deliveries with adherence to shipping instructions, methods of dispatch, types of packaging and other instructions (e.g. Dangerous Goods)

Loading and unloading trucks

Arranging large freight and small parcel package domestic shipments with carriers

Operating power tools and banding equipment common to the material handling trade (e.g. cranes, staples/nail guns, pallet jack, strapping machines, and sit down powered industrial trucks).

Identifying and addressing basic inventory discrepancies and resolving shipping issues.

Explaining warehouse procedures and processes to fellow workers.

Managing and maintaining inventory of shipping materials

You'll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

3+ years' experience in shipping or receiving in a warehouse environment

3+ years' experience of export/import compliance and the preparation of the associated documentation to be able to ship internationally

Experience in the?picking, packing and processing of product in accordance with industry standard practices

High levels of self-motivation and discipline, commitment to continuous improvement and quality

Excellent attention to detail

Knowledge of industry standard health and safety/manual handling procedures

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. using industry standard Safe Lifting Practices

Good inter-personal skills and ability to deal collaboratively with internal/external parties

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Minimum of high school diploma

Proficiency in the MS Office suite of tools, specifically MS Excel and MS Outlook

Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

?SAP experience highly desired

?Forklift license highly desired
