Overview:
As a Microtransit Data Management Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, accuracy, and compliance of data submitted to the Federal Transit Administration (FTA). Your expertise will contribute to the performance and safety of our transit systems. Key Responsibilities: Data Collection and Management:
Lead the data collection efforts across multiple departments, including operations, finance, and maintenance. Establish and refine procedures to ensure efficient and precise data management. Act as the primary expert and liaison for National Transit Database (NTD) reporting. Perform regular quality control checks and validation on all data prior to submission.
Reporting and Compliance:
Prepare and submit monthly and annual reports encompassing financials, operations, and safety data. Ensure compliance with federal regulations including NTD and ADA. Serve as the main contact during FTA reviews, addressing any issues with agency staff.
Analysis and Strategy:
Evaluate agency performance data to identify trends that foster process improvements. Create performance metrics and dashboards for leadership review. Support strategic planning initiatives through insightful analysis of NTD data. Stay up-to-date on evolving FTA regulations to maintain compliance.
Technology and Systems:
Manage transit technology systems used for data capture, including GPS tracking and fare collection tools. Collaborate with IT to enhance database and reporting infrastructure. Facilitate the integration of reporting platforms to unify data across departments.
Qualifications: Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum two (2) years in data management, financial reporting, or a related role. Experience with federal funding and grant reporting is a plus.

Proficient in analyzing data to identify challenges and propose solutions. Technical Proficiency:
Advanced skills in spreadsheet applications (like Microsoft Excel) and database management. Communication:
Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective teamwork. Organizational Skills:
Demonstrated ability to manage complex datasets and meet multiple deadlines. Leadership:
Capability to guide staff involved in data processes.
