Description

Position Summary:

Saint Bernard of Clairvaux Roman Catholic Parish is seeking a faith-filled, tech-savvy, and mission-driven individual to serve as the Coordinator of Evangelization: Communications, IT & Database Management. This role supports the parish's mission to evangelize by strengthening our digital and print communication efforts, managing key technology systems, and ensuring accurate and effective database management.

The ideal candidate is a practicing Catholic who loves Jesus and the Catholic Church, possesses strong technical and organizational skills, and is passionate about inviting others into a deeper relationship with Christ.

Key Responsibilites

Evangelization & Communications

Collaborate with clergy and staff to promote parish events, ministries, and evangelization efforts. Manage and create content for the parish website, bulletin, social media platforms, email campaigns, and other communication channels. Ensure that all messaging reflects Catholic teaching and the mission of the parish. Produce promotional materials (digital and print) to engage parishioners and newcomers. IT & Technical Support

Oversee basic IT operations and coordinate with external vendors for more complex needs. Maintain parish hardware, software, and technology systems including Wi-Fi, livestreaming equipment, and AV systems. Support staff and ministry leaders with basic tech troubleshooting and training. Database & Records Management

Maintain and update the parish database (e.g., ParishSOFT, etc.). Ensure data integrity for parishioner records, sacramental records, and ministry involvement. Generate reports and mailing lists to support pastoral initiatives and outreach. Assist with stewardship and engagement efforts through accurate date tracking and analytics. Requirements

Qualifications:

A practicing Roman Catholic in good standing with a deep love for Jesus and His Church. Strong understanding of Catholic teaching, parish life, and evangelization. Proficient in digital communication tools (e.g., Canva, Flocknote), website management (e.g., WordPress), and social media platforms. Familiarity with parish database systems (training provided if needed). Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Comfortable with both independent work and team collaboration. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
