The Associate Chief of Psychology provides administrative and clinical supervision and leadership to the Oregon State Hospital’s Department of Psychology and ensures the development, implementation, and maintenance of goals, objectives, policies, and accountability result in quality psychology programs and services at the Oregon State Hospital. The Department of Psychology at the Oregon State Hospital provides high-quality assessment, individual and group therapy, behavioral interventions, and staff training and education with a focus on evidence-based practices.

Duties include:

Leading a team of clinical psychologists and master’s level clinicians in providing culturally responsive, evidence-based assessment and treatment for individuals with serious mental illness.

Working closely with the Chief of Psychology to develop and establish hospital-wide policies and guidelines for psychology services.

Participating as an active member of an interdisciplinary program executive team, providing leadership and support to the Junction City campus.

Assessing, developing, implementing, and maintaining clinical standards of practice.

Developing, implementing, and monitoring the planning and evaluation systems to ensure the quality of psychology services provided within the Junction City campus.

What are we looking for? Minimum Qualifications:

Licensed as a psychologist by the Oregon Board of Psychology.

Two years of supervision, management, or progressively related experience providing administrative and clinical supervision to mental health professionals.

Preferred Qualifications Preference will be given to applicants with in-patient hospital experience.

Desired Attributes

Experience providing psychological services to individuals with serious mental illness and/or with forensic involvement preferred.

Experience collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders using the Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS) model.

Experience advancing health equity, addressing systemic health disparities, and collaborating with diverse, vulnerable and underrepresented populations.

Demonstrated commitment to and skill for applying the principles related to addressing systemic health inequities, implementing trauma-informed and anti-racist practices, and developing diverse and inclusive work environments.

Special Requirements To be hired you must have an abuse check, a criminal background check and a driving records check that meets OHA criteria at the time of hire and throughout employment.
