Job Overview As a Software Architect (AI Platform), you will be the primary technical visionary responsible for defining, designing, and evolving the architectural foundation of our next‑generation AI/GenAI products and solutions. You will lead architectural strategy across multiple teams and product lines, ensuring our AI systems can scale to meet enterprise demands while maintaining the highest standards of performance, reliability, and security.
Responsibilities You will provide architectural leadership for complex, large‑scale AI systems, shape the future of Conga’s AI platform, and act as a thought leader in AI technologies, influencing cross‑functional technical decisions and long‑term strategies. You will drive architectural standards and best practices across all AI/GenAI products and services, own high‑impact projects, mentor engineers, and foster a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
Qualifications Related experience:
12+ years of professional software development experience, including 7+ years in AI/ML systems architecture. Proven track record of architecting and delivering large‑scale, production AI systems; led complex initiatives requiring cross‑functional influence and mentoring.
Technical expertise:
Deep expertise in distributed systems architecture, microservices, and cloud‑native design patterns
Advanced knowledge of AI/ML system architecture, including training infrastructure, model serving, and MLOps pipelines
Extensive experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker)
Deep expertise in Python and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, FastAPI, LangChain, LangGraph, and KubeFlow
Strong understanding of data architecture, including real‑time and batch processing systems, data lakes, and analytical platforms
Soft skills:
Analytical thinker and creative problem solver; navigate ambiguity and deliver impactful solutions
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; communicate priorities, trade‑offs, and goals clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
Strategic thinker; balance technical excellence with business objectives to support current and future scalability
Education:
Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. Ph.D. a plus.
Edge Additional expertise:
Experience architecting systems for large language models (LLMs), generative AI, and foundation model deployment; knowledge of multi‑modal models, reinforcement learning, distributed training systems, AI governance frameworks, model risk management, and responsible AI architectures.
Enterprise architecture:
Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman, etc.) and regulatory compliance (SOC2, GDPR, HIPAA, etc.); knowledge of enterprise integration patterns, API management, and service mesh architectures.
Thought leadership:
Passionate about the AI/ML space; contributes to the community through publications, open‑source projects, and/or speaking engagements.
Compensation & Benefits In the spirit of the Conga Way, we strive to design easy‑to‑understand compensation programs that are fair and free from discrimination. The posted U.S. base salary range for this full‑time position is
$197,462–$315,938 USD .
