Client: Autonomous Vehicle/Tech

Title:

Materials Specialist

Job Location: San Carlos, California & Foster City, CA

Duration: ~6 months

Hourly Pay Rate: commensurate with experience

Location:

Commercial (San Carlos)/Foster City Schedule:

Monday - Friday from 8am-5pm (fully onsite)

Manage, process and perform all return merchandise transactions including receiving returns to stock and put away. Manage and control Material and QA hold inventories. Assist Materials and Quality teams with inventory analysis. Support and assist with all operation projects and special assignments. Perform Warehouse and Fulfillment functions; Receiving, Receiving Incoming Inspection, Inventory Management, Returns, Kit Audit, Cycle counts, and Order Processing; responsible for inventory and be able to manage and control new material and returns through return program.

Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

Receive incoming material. Perform Incoming receiving inspection -- physical and visual inspection & document verification Communicate with production and engineering teams on any receiving issues and/or discrepancies

Consolidate pending parts for repair charges and assist with material production planning

Follow up on pending material orders for completion, prioritize the tasks based on its urgency

Organize and maintain cleanliness of stock inventory locations, receiving dock and warehouse

Handle the internal product transfers shipments

Pick Work Orders and deliver parts to production line

Ship and Receive material

Perform Inventory cycle counts and discrepancy investigations

Triage incoming material parts for rework or scrap

Perform MRP transactions – create work orders, transfer inventory, ship/receive orders

Ensure Quality documentation provided with shipments is correct

Troubleshoot Material Movements, or roadblocks to processing

Report on inventory qty, units processed and overall material status

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree with 6 to 8 years of warehouse/inventory experience

Excellent interpersonal communications and organization skills, ability to multi-task while making effective decisions

RMA, procurement or Return to Vendor experience

Attention to details and strong organizational skill

Independent person and have ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision

Team Player, Problem solver

Comfortable working in a start up environment

Proficient with MS office is required

MRP system experience & knowledge (SAP, Oracle, Etc)
