We are looking for a Shipping and Logistics Administrator to oversee our shipping activities. The Shipping and Logistics Administrator (SLA) will coordinate the interactions between customer purchases, third-party carriers, and the BCET Customer Care and Accounting teams. This involves ensuring the efficient and timely booking of shipments through our nationwide network of carriers, monitoring and updating the status of booked shipments, and upon completion of shipments, payments are released to the assigned carriers.

The Shipping and Logistics Administrator position is a data-centered position. The successful candidate will have strong analytical and reporting skills. In addition to coordinating the shipment operations, the SLA will be responsible for ensuring that shipments are a profit center for the company by purchasing shipment services economically while maintaining timelines and customer satisfaction.

The Shipping and Logistics Administrator is responsible for creating, maintaining, and continually enhancing the standard operating procedures of the Shipping operations. The SLA is also responsible for the training and performance monitoring of all BCET employees who perform Shipping activities.

Responsibilities

Plan shipments based on product availability and customer purchases

Track orders to ensure timely deliveries

Prepare shipping documents (like invoices, purchase orders, and bills of lading)

Coordinate our supply chain procedures to maximize the quality of delivery

Maintain updated records of orders, suppliers, and customers

Oversee items sold on backorder and escalate to ensure the products are made available as soon as possible

Ensure all information is available, updated, and tracked so that the Customer Care Team can communicate with customers about the status of their orders

Requirements and skills

Work experience as a Logistics Administrator, Warehouse Administrator or similar role

Knowledge of logistics software or transport management systems

Excellent attention to detail

Strong analytical skills

Exemplary reporting and data visualization skills

Excellent organizational and time-management skills

Outstanding communication skills

Planning shipments based on product availability and customer requests

Tracking orders to ensure timely deliveries

Preparing shipping documents (like pick lists, bills of lading, and liability releases)

Proactively identifying delayed or problematic shipments and resolving or escalating the concerns

Experience

Minimum two years experience in shipping and logistics supervisory role

Minimum five years experience in shipping and logistics non-supervisory role

Minimum associate degree in logistics, operations, or relevant field
